  • Support business-as-usual activities by conducting research and reporting tasks as directed by nominated Supervisor or Leaders
  • Contribute to team-based initiatives, tasks and projects to achieve immediate and long-term organisational objectives.

With Cross River Rail changing the way we travel, to the 2032 Olympic and Paralympics, and all the amazing progress taking place in local communities across our state, there has never been a more exciting time to join Queensland Rail. Adding to this with over 4000km of regional track, Queensland Rail have endless opportunities for you to support exciting, innovative projects across our state to ensure our network is safe and reliable for all our customers, communities, and industry. Here's just some of what you could be working on:

  •  The $764.3 million European Train Control System rollout.
  •  Three new Gold Coast line stations, as well as $2.6 billion Gold Coast Faster Rail Project- track Duplication.
  • The $7.1 billion Ormeau Stabling and Maintenance Facility project.
  • The 65 New Next Generation Rolling Stock (Trains) built in Maryborough.
  • Central West line bridge replacement program replacing 16 bridges and repairing 44. 
  • Portsmith (Cairns) level crossing upgrade. This is part of a broader program of work consisting     of 18 level crossing upgrades across the Regional business.
  • Townsville to Cairns Track Renewal 

What you’ll bring

As an Operational Systems Graduate, a Bachelor of Engineering Electrical/Computer Science is essential. Other than that, we are looking for you to have the following attributes:

  • High academic achievement in your degree discipline.
  • Substantial level of interpersonal, negotiation, oral and written communication skills.
  • Substantial analytical and problem-solving and decision-making skills.
