Gender Equality at Queensland Rail

Queensland Rail has focused on increasing the representation of women through targeted programs and are committed to building an inclusive workplace.

Queensland Rail is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where all our employees feel safe, respected and valued for their contribution. Queensland Rail has focused on increasing the representation of women through targeted programs and have seen an increase of women across the organisation. It is well recognised that diversity and inclusion is a key driver of performance to better connect with our customers and the delivery of world-class rail services to the community.

Gender diversity is about assisting both men and women to more effectively manage the challenges of career and life, so they have equal opportunity to career participation and development across all occupations and leadership roles.

Through programs such as QR Women, SEQ Women and The Sunshine Collective we seek to inspire and develop our diverse female workforce. The goal is to 'turn the dial' to increase female retention and representation.
