The work assigned to you is very much on the job training. The tax division will also run training on special topics most weeks outside busy season which have lots of practical examples. There is also specific training for the graduates

The continuous internal training sessions that go beyond the graduate induction have been very informative and has helped me develop my skills and knowledge in the profession. I am also constantly learning from my superiors who take time to teach me how to complete new tasks and the reasoning behind it.

The company understands that most of our learning will come from on the job training. But they also provide a wider range of training that we can opt into in order to enhance our learning and develop our personal skills. For example, I attended a Business Development training where I picked up skills on how to network, make small talk, etc.

As a graduate, we had a week of formal induction which set us up in the firm. Learning about internal systems, policies and procedures. Furthering this, we had a 4-day technical training provided after 2 weeks of settling into the firm.

We have monthly tax training which is pretty decent, and I have picked some of the tax laws and some real-life examples from the training.

Offer training but a lot, not really have been structured well, will be overwhelm at beginning

I feel like the training could be a bit more structured, particularly with the accounting software. E.g. specific videos on how to do specific functions in the software, a clearer case study that teaches you how to prepare a tax return, etc.

Formal training is really good and informal training is even better. I am constantly working with my team and receiving on-job training weekly.

2 Formal training sessions for grads in Sydney for audit SW has Business Development Programs twice a year were everyone can nominate for courses they're interested in, mine was Business Writing.

Training and Development is thorough especially with getting an understanding of softwares that the organisation uses.

The training and development programmes are great, we have just recently been given a list of the different formal training that we can choose to receive, such as Business Writing. I look forward to these as it is a way to learn more important work skills.

Formal training is frequent and well structured. More on the job training when first starting would have been beneficial.

The training we did was okay, but the format was something I could not adapt to. I learn by doing a task a few times myself. But the training was basically just listening to a powerpoint for a few days. However, to be fair to the in-house trainers, this was their first time training the graduates, and I'm sure they will improve.

There are many formal training opportunities focused on both soft and hard skills and constant informal opportunities to learn.

I think we are given lots of informal training opportunities whenever we get given something new and the tax department also has regular technical training
