Size and presence: A proud Hong Kong brand, Ovolo Group remains a family-owned and privately-operated business operating four hotels and three restaurants in Hong Kong, and eight hotels and seven restaurants across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Brisbane.

Best known for: Our emergency department treats over 103,000 patients each year, cares for over 92,000 patients admitted to the hospital, and assists with the delivery of over 3,200 babies each year.

The good bits: The guests and customers that we have to attend the venue are friendly and generally never have any problems with them.

The not-so-good bits: Management put into roles that they are inexperienced in and unaware of how to deal with or lead staff members productively.

The Ovolo story

Girish Jhunjhnuwala officially launched Ovolo Hotels in 2010, with Ovolo Central on Arbuthnot Road, Hong Kong. In the years since he has grown the brand into a portfolio of eight hotels across Hong Kong and Australia. Ovolo adds a whole lot of F.U.N. to guests’ travels, and our signature style recently saw Ovolo Woolloomooloo claim the highly coveted guest-voted award for #1 Hotel in Australia in TripAdvisor’s Travellers’ Choice Awards 2019

FoodBank is ‘the pantry to the charity sector. Typically, Foodbank provides food relief to more than a million people each month. However, with more than 15 flood evacuation orders now in place, there is more and more need for donations to provide food relief. 

FoodBank will be urgently packing their crisis hampers and getting them to the front line as quickly as they can, and financial donations mean they can source food to make these. For every $1 donated they can provide $6 worth of food.
