Catholic Education is one of the largest non-government employers in the Far North. Employment in Catholic schools in the Cairns Diocese offers a variety of teaching jobs, non-teaching jobs and leadership positions. Professional, administrative and leadership positions also exist with the Diocese's education office, Catholic Education Services (CES).

Teaching positions may also be advertised with Teachers.On.Net. Non-teaching positions are often listed on the Seek website. Vacancies may also be advertised in the Cairns Post and other regional newspapers.
Schools are responsible for the recruitment of their teaching and non-teaching staff. Questions relating to an advertised vacancy at a school should be directed to the school contact person noted in the advertisement.
