The Recruitment Process

Cairns Regional Council uses eRecruitment, a self-service portal, and all applications must be submitted online through this portal. The portal will require you to create a profile where you can:

  • Subscribe to email alerts for vacancies you are interested in
  • Login and view the status of jobs you have applied for
  • Track the progress of your application through the recruitment process
  • Receive updates from Council as your application reaches various stages; and
  • Manage your own job application resume and attachments

To be eligible for appointment to a position at Cairns Regional Council, you must be one of the following:

  • Permanent resident of Australia
  • New Zealand Citizen
  • Entitlement to a Work Visa
