The company has inaugurated a new business segment – low-carbon activities – to which it contributes its unique capacity to build and operate regenerative infrastructures focused on the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Recruitment Process
- September/October: Submit your 10-minute application
- October/November: Shortlisted candidates complete a 10 to 15-minute one way video interview providing insight into your unique personality
- November: If successful you will be invited to attend a face-to-face behavioural based interview with a HR representative and a senior leader
- December: Formal offer to join ACCIONA’s graduate program
- Monday 29th January: Program commencement. Early entry opportunities may also be available.
Eligibility for the ACCIONA 2024 Graduate Program
- Relevant tertiary qualification
- Full working rights in Australia or New Zealand
- Full completion of undergraduate level study with an Australian or New Zealand University within the last 3 years (2021 – 2023)
- High degree of passion and ambition to work in the construction industry and help transform communities and change landscapes
- Mobility, flexibility and the desire to work on construction projects locally, regionally and interstate
- Commitment to building the infrastructure our planet needs to achieve a sustainable future.

ACCIONA Graduate Program
The ACCIONA Australia and New Zealand Graduate Program is a unique development and training program, it is designed to provide a comprehensive and hands on experience to graduates, helping them develop their capabilities and succeed in their careers with ACCIONA.
Compensation & Career Opportunities on the ACCIONA Graduate Program
- $80 000 to $83 000 per annum plus Superannuation
- Kick off with a National Induction
- Participate in 2 to 4 rotations to gain a breadth of experience
- Site visits to some of Australia’s flagship sustainable infrastructure projects
- Practical lunch and learns presented by ACCIONA senior leaders and subject matter experts
- Team up with other ACCIONA graduates from different countries and cultures through our Global Graduate Program
- Complete an exclusive international development program in collaboration with the Comillas Pontifical University (Madrid)
- Flexible time frame, achieved through our self-paced competency framework.

- We get the opportunity to work on groundbreaking projects that shape Australia's key infrastructure and work with a huge range of people across different disciplines. I love that no day is the same and you never find yourself feeling bored, because there's always a new challenge or an opportunity to take on and learn something new if you're looking for it. Homing in on my experience as an Acciona graduate over the last two years, I have found the networking and team-building activities within the wider graduate group to be the most rewarding. Events like the Graduate Bootcamp and the Comillas University accreditation have allowed me to meet graduates from all over Australia, making connections and friendships that will last throughout my career. I also liked that we had Comillas professors guiding us through our business case and Daniel provided us with very helpful feedback and advice on our project.
- The ability to be involved in interesting and innovative projects which shape the community positively.
- The people and culture here. I was pleasantly surprised with how little "hand holding" there was and how comfortable the team was to let me do actual work, giving me my own scope and tasks to manage and with very little micromanagement. I believe that this has massively helped with my learning and development.
- The best thing would be the opportunity to experience and learn on multiple very different large infrastructure projects.
- The hours of site work can be quite taxing. However, this is quite common throughout the industry.
- The nature of the construction industry means that it is hard to have flexibility in terms of working from home or working hours.
- Big difference in expectation between office and site staff
- The only bad thing about working for Acciona is finding it hard to stay focused in my role. With so many cool opportunities and projects and work going on it is easy to be distracted and interested in the goings on outside my team and outside my current project.
- There haven't been too many downsides to the company.
