The knowledge and financial skills I’m learning at work are directly translatable to my life outside work, which I consider to be a great bonus!

Being a full-time working parent is a daily juggling act. However, working in a firm that promotes flexibility and work-life balance has greatly helped me with not only the advancement in my career but to also raise two children.

I think being a woman in a male-dominated arena is always a challenge – especially when it is largely relationship based and it at times feels like it will always be that way. Part of the challenge is dealing with this but still being authentic, i.e. work with “the boys” and earning their respect as an equal rather than trying to be something you are not.

Despite my background being in engineering, I chose to go into consulting because I wanted a role that really gave me the opportunity to interact with and learn from others.

My team at SW have always provided me with learning opportunities to excel in my role. Whether it be through receiving more challenging and complex tasks or professional development courses offered by the firm, you are always continuously learning keeping the job engaging and rewarding.
