About the role

The Third Party Distribution team work closely with our partner channel (Brokers, Accountants, Vendors and other advisors) to help thousands of small to medium sized business owners find the perfect finance solution for their business. This role will see you maintaining relationships within a portfolio of accredited partners to drive profitable volume and position Valiant as the trusted referral partner for all business and commercial solutions.

The Account Manager position is a key role within the Third Party team where you will engage and maintain relationships with our referral partners. The Account Managers work alongside BDMs to help convert referral partners from unhealthy to healthy users, assist with activating referral partners by working through their first few transactions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Making outbound and inbound calls to referral partners that have been identified
  • Conveying Valiant's proposition and service over the phone to referral partners
  • Hand hold referrers through the application process
  • Setting up BDMs with potential meetings to explore other opportunities
  • Building and maintaining internal and external relationships with Product Specialist, Referrer Support, Business Development Managers, Referral Partners, and other key stakeholders.
  • Contributing regularly to the development of new and improved processes within the team to create a world class customer experience.
  • Providing feedback to Valiant HQ on how we can develop and iterate our process and service

Requirements

  • 1+ years of sales or business development experience.
  • Previous experience within broker/accounting/advisor network preferred
  • Exceptional phone communication skills with a natural ability to build rapport with clients/referral partners.
  • Understanding of business lending and business development.
  • Commercial and Business credit experience which enables you to provide feedback on live deal scenarios.
  • Customer-focused with natural ability to form meaningful relationships.
  • Strong influencing skills
  • Ability to perform under pressure and achieve monthly targets.
