Your career with Winslow starts in the field working alongside our operations team.
THE WINSLOW WAY…
Each person at Winslow is empowered to make good decisions to look after each other as family, be accountable to each other, and always operate safely. We are dedicated and passionate about doing our best and committed to doing it once and doing it right. This is seen every day on the projects and in the offices – it’s what makes us so different from everyone else – It’s the Winslow Way.
As a Graduate Engineer, my responsibility is supporting the project manager to ensure the safe delivery of projects on time and under budget. Main key points include: 1.Planning and programming. 2.Sub-contractor Management. 3.Safety, Quality and Environmental Management.
Currently, I am a Leading Hand on one of Winslow's jobs. My day to day activities focus on the organisation and facilitation of site activities in conjunction with my foreman. Working closely with my Forman is a great opportunity to learn how to get the most out of a job by ensuring organisation and resource management. This includes working with engineers and project managers to ensure a productive project. This on site experience is intangible in setting my career up to become an engineer, which I am currently completing my Bachelors for.
Currently I am a KPI engineer in Winslow constructers. Usually the first half of my day requires me to be on site, track the progression of different activities carried out. Then on the second half of my day, i need to report on the progression to the project team, also prepare fortnightly/ monthly KPI reports to allow the project team to have an overview of how the business is going.

The leadership is great. They're transparent and communicative; they really empower you to grow and succeed in your role.
Work culture is amazing. Everyone's super supportive and collaborative. The team is so friendly and knowledgeable.
Pay rates are low compared to other companies.
Sometimes the work can be a bit slow-paced. There isn't a huge focus on engineering or technical side of things.
There are always aspects of a business that need improvement; Winslow is not immune to that.
Working in management has its own advantages and disadvantages: graduates are keen to learn, but reporting managers often bear the brunt of criticism when the team fails to meet expectations.
There are a few days where we have to stay back beyond 5pm, though management is understanding and flexible when needed.
