Your role

Working alongside Project Management and Bid Management professionals you will have the opportunity to learn all facets of how a business runs whilst you play an integral role in helping coordinate and prepare projects and bids.

  • Assisting with coordinating and collating bids and tender documentation
  • Support the management of projects and associated activities
  • Gaining insight into contract management and the different models
  • Understand and develop project schedules and plans and play a key role in preparing for meetings
  • Assist with project reporting and other ad-hoc project administration
  • Gain insight into risk management and associated activities
  • Understand workforce planning and related activities

Career progression

Starting in February each year and spanning two years in duration, the Graduate Program consists of a variety of learning modules in different locations nationally. These are structured training modules, as well as self-directed learning activities, and on-the-job training; giving you exposure to all the different areas of the business.  

As part of the graduate development program, graduates will also have the opportunity to work in project teams and develop innovative solutions for business and customer-related problems. The graduate program at Thales will see its graduates travel to various Thales Group Australia sites for the development modules.

About you

Here’s what they are looking for in this role:

  • Recently degree qualified in Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related degree, or be in the final year of completing for graduation
  • You have a keen interest to understand how project-driven business plans and tracks its bids and projects to completion both from a cost and schedule perspective 
  • You have exceptional communication skills and can easily build relationships
  • You are a quick learner who can easily interrupt information and put it to use
  • Your organisation skills are second to none!
