Your role

As a Graduate Configuration Engineer at Thales, you will work on exciting and innovative projects. Many of their contracts are with local defence and government agencies, and they need the brightest grads to join their team.

Responsibilities:

  • As a Configuration Management team member, assist the team with representing air traffic management systems by providing configuration data and their validity across the whole lifecycle.
  • Support the maintenance and integrity of configuration data's definition, recording and traceability.
  • Support the provision of data to verify internal and external configuration documentation.
  • Ensure that Products are labelled and correlated with their associated requirements, design and product information.
  • Ensure that change activity is managed using defined processes.
  • Ensure that configuration information is captured during the Product definition, change management and is organised for retrieving key information.

About you

Here’s what they are looking for in this role:

  • Recent degree qualification in Engineering, Computer Science or IT with a minimum credit average
  • Experience in basic data configuration of IT hardware equipment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear and concise documents that clearly articulate complex technical detail
  • Leadership experience demonstrated through previous employment or extra-curricular activities whilst studying at university
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work within a diverse and inclusive team environment, results-focused, resilient, resourceful, and thirsty for solving problems.
  • The initiative, inquisitiveness and a desire to challenge yourself and continuously keep learning
