Your role

About Your Role:

  • To perform/participate in the engineering safety studies of the Thales Group equipment in the context of different business lines/units in coordination with different departments (system engineering and software engineering, hardware engineering, logistic)
  • To contribute to the production of the safety case report of the sub-system/system
  • To support the project team on any topic related to engineering safety related issues of their responsibility
  • To contribute at the program level to improve the safety activities, processes, and training
  • To share and route information between colleagues and contribute to the development of engineering safety awareness 
  • To report to the Safety team and Safety Manager

Career progression

Starting in February each year and spanning two years in duration, the Graduate Program consists of a variety of learning modules in different locations nationally. These are structured training modules, as well as self-directed learning activities, and on-the-job training; giving you exposure to all the different areas of the business.

About you

Here’s what they are looking for in this role:

  • Recent Tertiary qualification in the Engineering discipline (in the field of communications, electrical engineering, systems engineering, or related discipline), Safety
  • Knowledge of system engineering (V-Cycle)
  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Good IT skills (MS Office, DOORS would be an advantage but not a prerequisite)
  • Ability to identify and analyze risks, and make corrective actions
  • Good analytical and synthetical skills
  • Able to interact easily with various stakeholders
