Your role

The Secure Communications & Information Systems Business Domain designs integrate and support C4ISR systems, including mission systems, support systems, systems of systems integration, and C4ISR products. 

Thales' integrated solutions include:

  • Strategic communications systems - including satellites, wide area communications network infrastructure, and management systems 
  • Tactical communications 
  • Command and control (C2) information systems

In this role your primary responsibility will be supervising the installation and testing (V&V) activities for Thales, systems as well as assisting the team with hands-on requirements.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supervise and Assist the Systems Installation Team to ensure quality, workmanship, mentoring, and task completion in support of the Project Team.
  • Execute the Verification and Validation activities as required by the Project Team.
  • Support and Assist the team with project development of test and installation documentation.
  • Installation/Integration and set to work of electronic and communication equipment/software to support sub-system and system level testing.
  • Assist the Project Team to perform integration, sub-system, and system-level tests.
  • Perform installation of project-specific equipment as detailed by engineering plans.
  • Coach and mentor junior staff members and deal with customer escalations.

About you

Here’s what we are looking for in this role:

  • AQF Certificate/Diploma in Electrical / Electronic Systems
  • Understanding of configuration management processes and procedures.
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire teams.
  • Knowledge of fibre cable termination and testing technologies.
