Graduate Quality Assurance Officer

This position will join be based at Kingaroy, QLD at our Swickers abottoir.

Reporting to the Group Quality Systems Manager, the responsibilities of the role include:

  • Monitor and provide ongoing support of the Quality Systems in a timely and efficient manner
  • Assist the team with a focus on employee behaviours, safety, quality and delivery to production requirements with a cost efficiency consciousness every time, in full and to specification
  • Ensure food safety issues are reported as soon as possible
  • Apply and monitor corrective and preventative actions
  • Conduct verification activities on the site’s Critical and Quality Control points, as per HACCP principles.

About you

 As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:

  • Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Food Science/Technology or other related disciplines
  • Completed studies within the last 2 years or due to be completed by end of 2022
  • Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and biosecurity
  • Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail combined with organisational and time management skills
  • Motivational drive to grow and develop your career within the business
  • Availability to work rostered weekends and public holidays
  • Be physically fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role
