Graduate Farm Production 

This position will join our SunPork Farms and be based at locations in either Queensland, South Australia or Victoria.

Reporting to the Production Manager, the responsibilities of the role include:

• Maintaining a high-quality environment for the welfare and well-being of our animals
• Learn all aspects of pork production with a planned progression through the different production phases of the piggery
• Opportunity to be mentored by the Production Manager, with allocated mentoring days
• Learn and perform all day to day tasks ranging from clean accommodation pens, fittings and equipment, to routine husbandry of all animals and move, draft and weigh animals.
• Caring for sick and/or injured animals; and Administer medications when required

About you

As a key member of this team, the successful applicant must:

• Completed a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Agriculture, Agricultural Science, Animal Science or Veterinary Science
• Completed studies within the last 2 years or due to be completed by end of 2022
• Preferably have animal experience, but not essential
• Be committed to upholding the highest levels of animal welfare and biosecurity
• Have a positive attitude towards our intrinsic values of trust, integrity, quality, agility, unity, and innovation
• Excellent collaboration skills with an ability to develop strong relationships with key stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail combined with organisational and time management skills
• Motivational drive to grow and develop your career within the business
• Availability to work rostered weekends and public holidays
• Be physically fit and able to cope with the physical demands of the role
