We're looking for a range of people to join us and we’re committed to providing an inclusive workplace. We value our staff for their unique qualities, ideas and perspectives.

In our finance and accounting stream, we’re looking for graduates with degrees in:

  • accounting
  • commerce, majoring in accounting or finance
  • economics, majoring in accounting
  • finance, majoring in accounting.

We’re also looking for graduates with a degree in related areas such as:

  • actuarial studies
  • business analysis
  • information systems technology, with an interest in finance systems
  • statistics.

If you have any of the above degrees, you can apply to both our finance and accounting stream and generalist streams. If you’re assessed as suitable for both streams, we’ll try to match you in the finance and accounting stream first. Once you start, you’ll stay in the finance and accounting stream for the duration of the program.

You can also apply for the finance and accounting stream through the Australian Government Graduate Program and choose Services Australia as your preference.

Range of work 

In the finance and accounting stream, you might work in several areas, including: 

  • budgeting and costing
  • statutory and asset reporting
  • financial governance
  • financial systems
  • procurement
  • finance partnering.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the program, you must be an Australian citizen.

You’ll need to have successfully passed and completed an undergraduate or postgraduate degree within the last 5 years.

If you got your degree overseas, you’ll need to have it recognised by the Department of Education.
