Welcome to Pitcher Partners' Risk Services Virtual Experience.
The Pitcher Partnersโ Risk Services team assists organisations through the delivery of internal audits and the provision of risk advisory and consulting engagements. As the outsourced internal auditors to a range of organisations within State Government, Local Government and the private sector most of our work focuses on the delivery of internal audits which assess the effectiveness of the organisationโs key business processes. As part of our work, we will conduct interviews with staff, assess key policies and procedures, analyse data relevant to the audit, to formulate findings and recommendations for improvement.
As well as conducting internal audits we also provide risk consulting and advisory services which are slightly different, in that rather than delivering the work to the Internal Audit Committee we will work directly with management. Our work can cover any part of an organisation, but typically focuses on enterprise risk management, payroll, core financial controls, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, compliance management advanced data mining and cyber security and IT management.

A graduate in audit - the work is very repetitive and doesn't simulate my mind that much. However when there is a lot of work it keeps me busy and time flies.
The BA&A(Audit) division has a variety of both audit and tax work. Day-to-day responsibilities range from preparing tax returns, FBT returns and BASs to audit fieldwork and planning. Often, we will travel to audit client sites to work which are all over Victoria.
day to day responsibilities include completing audit workpapers, liaising with clients to understand their entity, processes etc for a smooth audit. Further to that, regular communications with the performance manager and job manager to ensure there is a smooth workflow.

All team members are very approachable and friendly, there is a great workplace culture.
The best thing about working at Pitcher Partners is how invested your colleagues are in your learning and development.
Very good office, new and well maintained, spacious and open and facilities such as sit-stand desks and an on-site barista are great.
The social culture at Pitchers is genuinely amazing! There are many events on as a firm.
Work load can be high at times.
There is sometimes a lack of work for all the graduates, meaning there never seems to be a consistent workflow.
The pay is an industry standard and receive a bonus for completing CA.
I found it very challenging to start client work during peak periods as everyone had a lot on their plate.
As part of the graduate program, places for positions in more specialist divisions are quite limited, and it is challenging to distinguish yourself from other graduates for selection. While there is a good working environment, and a lot of training is provided there is still a high expectation on your individual performance (both quality and e๏ฌciency).
