We’re looking for a Capital Specialist (Payments) to join our team in Auckland. You will be responsible for supporting the growth and operations of our Lightspeed customers through the offering of our Financial services. In this Merchant-centric sales position, you will handle business development activities, driving awareness and adoption of our financial services offerings in the small-medium business segment. The successful candidate for this role is committed to a culture of positivity and high performance, you enjoy the challenge of exceeding targets and have a self-driven desire to succeed. 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Proactively reach out to our existing customers to promote our financial services offering 
  • Provide exceptionally high levels of service and use effective sales techniques to position and drive awareness on Lightspeed Capital for merchants
  • Build a trusted advisor relationship with your customers and identify where Financial Service opportunities lie across your book of business
  • Efficiently negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximise the growth of your book of business 
  • Strive to achieve sales targets by providing exceptional advice and service to each merchant 
  • Employ effective business development & relationship management techniques to assist in meeting or exceeding established sales targets for the territory
  • Provide regular feedback and be the voice of the merchant to business leaders

What you need to bring:

We're looking for a candidate who has experience with the following:

  • Previous sales experience with a track record of high performance (experience selling a financial service product is desired)
  • Understanding of solution-based consultative sales in a SaaS environment
  • Ability to use Salesforce.com and other technologies to manage and organise pipeline
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to manage and build solid partnerships both internally and externally
