I think it is good that the company tries to promote inclusion and diversity. I think the talks that they host on these issues are interesting and useful.

The company has a wide range of diversity and is very inclusive. As an example, celebrating particular cultures events.

Diversity shouldn't matter, hire who's qualified.

Flexibility in work hours and location helps with that. The company tries to be quite diverse.

There is a high diversity culture at my company.

While the company and specifically my area is majority men, it does seem as though the company is working hard to increase its diversity. They have support groups for minorities too.

Our department is quite heavily diverse, which is great. I can't speak much to child care or maternity/paternity leave, though.

There are people from many varied experiences here, both men and women. This allows better critical thinking as staff use their cultural, personal and academic experiences to advise their thought processes.

In the software engineering industry, there is a severe lack of women and that is evident at leidos. I think there is a focus on acquiring the best people for the job and therefore less of a focus on achieving diversity. There is, however, a diversity of age and ethnicity and we are an lgbt inclusive company.

Leidos hires a wide range of diverse individuals and facilitates a safe and positive environment for all members to work together to achieve goals.

Very progressive and seems committed to diversity.

Leidos is great with diversity. No issues there. I think the focus should be based more on the individuals skills rather than gender or race, but leidos also focuses on skills very highly which is good as well.

Can't say too much on this as a straight white man but leidos does have advocacy groups for women and lgbtqi+ which is great to see. As an it/stem company i think leidos could be doing better to improve the gender disparity issues encountered in the technical and stem oriented roles/areas. I have noticed a few initiatives to improve the recruitment process in this aspect, but obviously this is a more deeply rooted issue with society and the education system. There have also been efforts to support recruiting neurodiverse talent which is good.

What does your company do to attract applicants from less privileged backgrounds?
Provides many opportunities and flexible working hours. There is also a childcare and other options available near the office.

I am unaware of this. I feel due to the nature of our work, everyone must earn their spot no matter where they have come from. Once in here as a graduate we are all on equal footing.

Leidos has a rich culture of diversity and flaunts diversity through its social programs.

Good question. I'm not sure specifically, but i haven't seen any bias in the recruitment process so far so i believe leidos judges fairly regardless of your background. Although it's hard for me to say since i've been quite privileged growing up myself.
