Management at Kraft Heinz Company

8.1
8.1 rating for Management, based on 42 reviews
How accessible are managers and do they make good mentors? You may want to address internal communication, performance feedback or praise and recognition.
Management is available to help us, lots of the executive and higher level people are friendly and able to point you in the right direction when needed. Mentors have been great so far, I've had a key mentor who has been incredibly helpful in my learnings and has made lots of time to make sure I understand my role.

My previous mentor was not very supportive and gave minimal feedback. I have had experience however with others in the business and know that this isn't the norm. I have just moved teams and already the change in support has been incredible with everyone I meet having the time and motivation to help me in my role

Graduate, Melbourne - 30 Jan 2023
Some managers are not very accessible and this should be considered more when assigning graduates to them. On the flip side some managers are incredibly accessible and made great mentors.

Senior Leaders do not interact
Graduate, Auckland - 04 Oct 2018
Managers are very accessible, especially those who would typically not even know a graduates name. They take time to know the graduates. Feedback is very common and always delivered in a professional way.
Graduate, Melbourne - 02 Oct 2018
My direct manager is incredible, he is very busy but still finds time to teach and mentor me, I have learnt heaps off him in a short time frame. Upper management is friendly but do not have much direct communication with them.

Very satisfied with my manager. Has put a lot of time aside to train and help develop my technical knowledge. Is readily available for when I need help either by popping into her office, by Skype or email.

The company as a whole has a really great focus on giving feedback, with quarterly performance reviews, which is twice as often as any other company. On site I have really been set up for success with my manager and mentors, and can't praise them enough in the way they treat and support me. Progression in KraftHeinz is based on the principle of meritocracy, so those who perform well are rewarded. I have found that this is generally the case, and am very happy with my prospects as a result.
Graduate, Brisbane - 05 Sep 2018
My managers are always there to support me. There's quarterly appraisals that's 1 hours each time with my direct manager.
Midlevel, Melbourne - 05 Sep 2018
Given how time poor the managers are, I appreciate the effort they put into making us feel welcome and taken care of. Would like to spend more time with them though their workload often does not permit this from happening.

All graduates at the business are paired with a manager who is a high performer. This sets them up for the program and they strongly rely on their manager for mentorship and development. As we all sit in an open office, your managers are sitting with you on a day-to-day basis so you get constant exposure to them. We could improve on our performance feedback piece though as graduates can go through the program and not know whether they are doing well or not.

Bruno our MD was very supportive of the graduate program which is great, however I do think a better company culture needs to be drive from the top down. The marketing manager could improve their leadership skills and make everyone in the team feel like a valued member and support their development.
