About the opportunity
Inland Rail launches its Graduate intake for a July 24 Intake.
You will start with us on Monday 1st July 2024.
We have an opportunity for a graduate to join the ICT team dedicated to the Inland Rail Program kick-starting their careers working on Australia’s largest and most technically complex freight rail infrastructure program.
You will participate in a structured two-year program, which includes at least 3 rotations. You will gain exposure to ICT operations and work on ICT topics related to applications, design, software engineering and data analytics in our state-of-the-art Brisbane office.
On completion, you will have the opportunity to work in roles across Inland Rail until it is scheduled for operation in 2027.
Main responsibilities
You will work under the guidance and leadership of ICT managers to develop and support ICT solutions for the Inland Rail program.
Your development program will see you, and will not be limited to:
Assist in the implementation of data and configuration changes to applications across Inland Rail to support ongoing requirements;
Assist in the development and implementation of internal applications, platforms, and integrations as per design and requirements from ICT projects and architecture team;
Assist in technical, user acceptance testing and defect co-ordination for ICT projects; and,
Provide level 1 and 2 application and service desk support to Inland Rail ICT systems and applications.
About you
We are seeking enthusiastic graduates who are invested in and committed to their personal and professional development. To be eligible for consideration, you should have completed a Bachelor's in information technology, computer science or software engineering in the last two years, as well as:
Desire to learn and gain experience in the management and development of ICT solutions for major industry/infrastructure projects/programs;
Demonstrable ability to work in an organised, well-ordered manner, and autonomously;
Well-developed written and oral communication and presentation skills;
Well-developed problem-resolution and interpersonal skills;
Experience in the Office 365 platform and applications;
Knowledge and experience in the Azure cloud ecosystem (PowerApps, LogicApps, Flow, SharePoint, PowerBI and Dataverse) would be advantageous;
Knowledge of software development and software engineering will be highly regarded; and,
Analysis and presentation of data using contemporary business intelligence tools will be a plus.
