Glencore Zinc Assets Australia has a number of opportunities opening to graduating or recently graduated university students to join our Information Systems & Technology Graduate Program. About the role

As a Graduate Information Systems and Technology Professional, you will be exposed to various duties undertaken in the field support. Your typical day may be out in the field maintaining and repairing the onsite desktop fleet and helping users with their everyday computer-related issues, or helping develop solutions to business problems by analysing business functions for opportunities to improve processes or systems. No matter which might be, you will assist the experienced IS&T team to create the right setup technologically and make a positive difference for optimal business performance across our mine sites.

The successful applicant will have:

• A Bachelor of Computers Science, Bachelor in Information Technology, Bachelor of Information Systems or similar
• Have graduated from university within the last 2 years

• McArthur River, Northern Territory (FIFO from Darwin).  Situated in the remote Gulf of Carpentaria 900 km southeast of Darwin, McArthur River Mine (MRM) is a world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future ahead of it.  Flying in and Out from Darwin, you spend your onsite time in a camp with a dining room, bar, gym, movie theatre, golf driving range, volleyball courts, cricket pitch, and swimming pool.
• Townsville, North Queensland (Residential).  Located on the coast in tropical North Queensland, Glencore’s Townsville Operations encompass Copper Refineries Pty Ltd and Glencore Port Operations.  Our Townsville Operations marks the final link in Glencore’s fully integrated north Queensland supply chain, connecting the natural resources we produce with markets around the world.  Copper Refineries Pty Ltd is one of the world’s leading electrolytic copper refineries, capable of producing 300,000 tonnes per year of premium-quality ISA brand LME Grade A copper cathode using Glencore’s proprietary IsaKIDD refining process. Glencore Port Operations at the Port of Townsville is the export gateway for our north Queensland products.
