Job Description Summary
Looking for someone who intends to plan his career In Controllership and accounting function. The candidate would be responsible for operational activities for the Indian entity and pose solid operational and technical accounting background and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment. He shall not only be responsible for managing the activities in terms of compliance to the controllership activities but also shall indulge himself in providing guidance when required to the different functions.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide technical accounting expertise on various US GAAP accounting matters
- Drive the MEC, QEC, and YEC closure activities
- Work closely on the group reporting under US GAAP and submission to the corporate which enable them to file the 10K and 10Q reporting
- Manage and support the conduct of various audits under IGAAP (includes Statutory audit, Tax audit, GST audit, and Internal Audit)
- Should have knowledge around GST compliances
- Collaborate with other functional areas like the tax team and ensure compliances
- Take ownership of the various balance sheet account
- Assist manager in month-end review and analytics
- Ensure compliance with Company accounting policies and the application of generally accepted accounting principles
- Should have sound knowledge of accounting principles and practices and demonstrate excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies in a SOX environment
- Analyze the effect of statutory accounting practices and studies regulations and guidance to ensure correct application of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Engage with the technical team to derive the accounting conclusions for the significant transactions.
- Ensure for accounting of leasing in a timely manner
- Overview of the Balance Sheet reconciliation
- Be the controlling owner for significant SoX controls designed by the organizations to be in compliance with the requirement.
- Act as an individual contribution while providing guidance and accounting conclusions. Work as a team among the team members.
- Working knowledge of - SAP, BW, BPC and proficient in MS Excel
Basic Qualifications and Skills
- Should be a Chartered Accountant or Certified Public Accountant.
- 0 - 2 years of accounting or finance experience
- Experience working with generally accepted accounting principles and accounting software
- Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
- Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with less experienced accountants and support personnel
- Well organized with the ability to prioritize
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong presentation skills for educating internal clients on accounting principles
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
