Due to the rotation nature it is hard to get investment into you when you only serve for 6 months. The only training is what I get from onsite staff. There are plenty of courses I would like to be apart of.

The training I've done has centered around permits, ground disturbance, H&S. I feel since I've passed ono onboarding stage, the training has slowed down a bit.

The main learning I have done is through iLearning on the downer intranet, which is a good method of delivering content through online courses. Also, on the job training every time I enter a new rotation or new aspect of a rotation, is a good experience, mainly due to the people who are promoting the Downer culture and help out with patience.

The training programmes I've been involved in have been well executed and informative at Downer. This includes first aid training, critical risk training, NZTA Level 1 Data Collection Training, and mental health first aid training.
