What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
I feel as though I am potentially not getting paid enough
Graduate, Christchurch - 29 Aug 2022
I think the pay for this company is falling behind the industry average for graduates. We are also not paid overtime or extra for night work or weekend/holiday work.
Graduate, Palmerston North - 05 Aug 2022
Salary so no paid overtime. Ridiculously unfair for those working 55+ hours vs. someone doing 40hrs. No pay bonuses
Graduate, Auckland - 04 Aug 2022
The a increase in cost of living, it would be wonderful if any increase matches inflation. bonuses are associated with KPI for the upper management this has its draw back some teams member can suffer burn outs
Graduate - 04 Aug 2022
Pay is good for someone at my level. Unsure about bonuses
Graduate, Auckland - 03 Aug 2022
From conversations with employers at similar companies it is the least competitive. I would like to see the pay differ between locations as well, I hope the salaries are more in the locations with higher living expenses.
Graduate, Wellington - 03 Aug 2022
I believe my current comp is competitive considering my title.
Graduate, Auckland - 03 Aug 2022
I believe the pay is relatively good for a graduate engineer, I believe after our graduate programme, we get a good bump up, which is logical given our experience after the ~2 years. I also really love and appreciate the LAHA and living costs that the company covers for graduates who move away from home, including flights paid to go back and visit our family.

While working with the asphalt department I did not feel I was fairly compensated for the constant travel and night shift work, but managed to stick it out because I knew it was only for a fixed term. In the temporary works team I am presented with a much greater technical challenge which makes work interesting, and I am no longer working 60-70 hour weeks so the pay is fine. I do feel that as I am developing and taking on more responsibility the salary review in February will be well-timed and fair. I am yet to hear anything about bonuses and am not sure if this is applicable.
Graduate, Christchurch - 03 Aug 2022
The starting pay is industry competitive. I have not experienced any bonuses.

Would be nice if salary got paid over time if you work over 50hrs or some sort of compensation for grads as some work 40hrs and some would work consistently over 50hrs a week
Graduate, Nelson - 03 Aug 2022
With salary, I only get paid for 40 hrs a week, however I am working 55+ hrs a week. It would be nice to get paid for the extra hours of work but the pay is still good for my level of experience. Bonuses would be heavily appreciated!:)

Pay is pretty good for a graduate I think but I'm unsure what the company bonuses are.
Graduate, Auckland - 03 Aug 2022
I am happy with my current pay but would like it if I could get my fuel paid off as I spend a lot of time having to use my own car to carry out work.
Graduate, Tauranga - 03 Aug 2022
Understandable for grad pay. could be better considering my achievements and responsibilities that exceed that of a more senior employee.
Graduate, Auckland - 03 Aug 2022
Should be reviewed and updated based on this more regularly. no recognition currently.
