2 great managers, 1 bad and uninterested manager

My past manager had poor communication skills. My current manager has good communication skills. It is a mixed bag

Managers are great, though they have no small influence on graduate salaries

The manner with which management interacted at times was disappointing - white collar was at times favoured over blue collar

My manager is very helpful and approachable. Always checking in to see if I am doing well or if I need any help.

Due to the rotation nature of the program my manager changes each 6 months. My first manager was relaxed, and provided good praise and feedback, however didn't make a good mentor due to a lack of knowledge. My current manager makes a great mentor and is super knowledgeable and gladly shares the knowledge.

I feel management interact very well. They always make the point to attend grad events so we're able to network with them.

The 2 managers I've had so far are very accessible and helpful. They are open to have a chat when I need or willing to help out with any issues and guidance. They are always willing to set time aside to check up on the graduates.

My manager with asphalting made little effort to communicate with me and I almost never saw him. Fortunately Operations Manager Chris stepped in and took on the mentoring role, assisting me through that rotation. My relationship with Mark in my new rotation is already outstanding. He makes time to help guide me through new challenges at work and inspires me to perform at my best.

My manager has been super supportive but has also giving me lots of opportunities to grow.

They are very accessible and I have a mentor in the senior management space who is very helpful in my career development

Timesheet admins are very helpful and good with reminding me to submit mine. Have not heard anything from my mentor and rotations manager which is quite disappointing. Downer IT Help is quite useful

I'm happy with my manager. He doesn't really micromanage which is good because I like to do my own thing. He is approachable and easy to reach out to. He is also good at giving feedback about my performance.

I am satisfied with my managers at Downer. They are very supportive and provide really sound advice that proves to be incredibly useful on a day to day basis.

Managers are hard to contact and distant
