Working Hours at Department of Employment, Skills, Small and Family Business

9.0
9.0 rating for Working Hours, based on 26 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
I am permitted to arrive between 8am and 10am and leave anytime after 4pm. I am concerned that there is regularly not enough work to fill in the day and I would give a higher rating if I felt like I was working a solid day.

I have been able to adjust my work hours to suit my needs, and any overtime I do is accrued as flex leave.

37.5 hours per week. we have flex working hours policy, which means from 7am to 7pm, you are free to work any 7.5 hours as long as your manager agrees. Really help for mums & dads.

I usually work 8-4pm, my supervisor is very flexible around personal commitments.

Around 38 hours a week. Given I'm in the public service, we are expected to work around 37.5 hours per week, but it can vary due to workload. Excess time is converted into 'flex time' which can be used to offset hours in other days. So you could work 40 hours in one week, then the next week you could work 35 hours, still on average working 37.5 hours a week.

Very flexible- i.e. I work early and longer days which enables me to leave earlier on a Friday.

Different areas of the Department have different requirements for working hours of employees, however my current area is very flexible. I work from 8am-4pm and am rarely required to work overtime. I do not have any trouble taking time off work when necessary.

My company is quite flexible. There is some difference in culture between different sections of the Department, but generally my hours are 9-5, and those who need or want flexible working arrangements, even as a graduate, are happily accommodated.
