Diversity at Coles

8.8
8.8 rating for Diversity, based on 35 reviews
Please provide further information on diversity with respect to women, ethnic minorities and LGBT. Please comment on issues such as recruitment, retention, promotion, child care, maternity leave, etc.
There seems to be strong support of the LGBT community in terms of communications and there are a number of women in senior roles, however there isn't a great deal of diversity of people within the office. Undoubtedly the largest pool of people beyond Australians would be the British, particularly the English.

Our team is extremely diverse - not something that I felt has been pushed but just something that happens naturally.

Having KPI's based on hiring 50-50 M/F is making decisions based on gender and is bias. However my employer has great diversity all-in-all.

Coles is very supportive of LGBTQI+ community, aboriginals and women (equality). However, definitely don't see much around ethnic minorities or religious acceptance.

There are policies and programs in place, yet the company still lacks diversity with regards to people of colour and women, particularly in the higher management levels. Disability and Indigenous employment is good vs. others though.

I am a member of the diversity task force and there is strong focus on shifting mind-sets and eliminating unconscious bias.

I can tell the leadership team are passionate about creating an inclusive environment for everyone.

Extremely focused on inclusivity. Offer TMs to complete training to be an LGBTIQ ally.

There are definitely more men than women who work in Finance. I feel there is an inequality in terms of gender in this function. Even evident the gender diversity between the Finance grads intakes throughout the years.

I think we do a great job in our stores. In our office not so much. Could definitely have more female or culturally diverse leadership team members.
