What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
Personally I think it is above average with room for an increase as you progress through your career. With the current economy I think any salary is tricky to work with. The bonuses are very minimal with your salary being the main part of your income. Based purely on speculation, the longer you work here the more income is possible.

Personally I feel the pay is low when compared to similar jobs in other industries (oil and gas for example). However, this has been offset for me by all other less tangible benefits.
Senior Commercial Officer, Perth - 03 Sep 2024
Personal compensation is excellent, overall it is decent.
Finished graduate program, Adelaide - 02 Sep 2024
Seems to be around average for a finance/accounting grad.
Graduate, Newcastle - 02 Sep 2024
I am happy with my pay and the Company has good bonuses and employee benefits in place.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Aug 2024
So far reasonable.
Graduate, Newcastle - 21 Aug 2024
I would say the pay is average compared to similar positions at other companies.
Graduate, Adelaide - 20 Aug 2024
I'm a little unsure about the entire process

I do not have access to bonuses. I don't like that particularly have the level of work and the milestones achieved. $100 gift voucher for going that extra mile isn't particularly motivating. Pay is fine and it is common knowledge BAE underpays compared to other primes.
Mid-level Officer, Adelaide - 19 Aug 2024
The graduate program makes you work above your job description and does not allow any room to grow your career.
Graduate, Adelaide - 19 Aug 2024
Pay is acceptable. Could be raised slightly to compete better with similar companies, however flexibility somewhat makes up for it. Bonus through PDR seems like a great incentive to go above and beyond in one's role, however I haven't had enough exposure to this system to accurately comment.

Talking to my peers in other companies, and to family and friends who are currently working in finance and accounting, I can confidently say that I have one of the best positions available in terms of pay as an intern. Since completing the internship program I received a significant pay rise in my interim role while I complete graduation and I will have yet another very significant pay rise again once that role begins. As a junior staff member, my remuneration is not tied to bonuses however last year, all employees of just a 12 month tenure were entitled to receive bonus by way of shares in the company.
Intern, Adelaide - 16 Aug 2024
The salary looks good, but it includes super which is a bit disappointing because most people I know have their salary plus super. The salary is sufficient for my lifestyle though. I have not heard much about bonuses, only that sometimes people get gift cards if they receive formal recognition, which can be nominated by other teammates.

Seems pretty good - it is my first job in this industry so I have nothing to compare to really.
Graduate, Melbourne - 16 Aug 2024
Salary is good for a graduate starting out in their career. 8 as I believe other competitors in the industry are more competitive in this area.
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
I believe I am being paid quite well for a graduate position. I have even received two raises during my time at the company.
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
Pay is essentially average for the type of job, although will increase in the next two years with the program. Cannot really complain (or praise) on this front, although of course more salary would be appreciated. Bonuses not encountered yet.
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
Pay is good, increased thought the program
Graduate, Adelaide - 15 Aug 2024
Pay could be a bit higher.
Graduate, Adelaide - 06 Aug 2024

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
There is a lot of perks available but they are hard to find. Asking around, someone will have the answer and there will be something that catches your eye. Their is perks including free financial consultations and career development, their is a big list within the employee assistance program.

Senior Commercial Officer, Perth - 03 Sep 2024
I think that the leave policies are good. I know they pay for transportation that you take when it is in relation to work. I know of people who have travelled interstate for work and are given a daily allowance which I believe is very generous. I think what this Company does in terms of perks and very competitive with other companies.
Graduate, Adelaide - 30 Aug 2024
Pretty typical.
Graduate, Newcastle - 21 Aug 2024
The best of the list suggested would be leave policies. Negative leave is an option if needed.

Private health insurance and eye care perks are helpful. Access to fitness, lifestyle advice is nice too.
Mid-level Officer, Adelaide - 19 Aug 2024
Secondment opportunities. Optional 9-day fortnight. Relocation assistance.
Intern, Adelaide - 16 Aug 2024
I think secondments are a good perk if people are willing to move locations temporarily. The company pays for your travel and stay. The grad program also has a grad conference where everyone flies to the same location and there is a formal dinner with free food and drinks. I mean the entire conference is paid for, we just have to show up and we get paid the work hours for the days we are there. I am unsure if this is a perk, or if most companies do this, but I was able to go into negative sick leave hours when I first started as I got sick and didn't have enough leave hours to have most of the week off, but I was able to use negative hours instead of annual leave which was a relief.
Graduate, Melbourne - 16 Aug 2024
Great leave policies, working from home, optional 9-day fortnight.
Graduate, Melbourne - 16 Aug 2024
Moving assistance, fitness passport (gym discount), social activities, fortnightly RDOs, GradCon (graduate convention), secondment opportunities
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
BAE have a very generous list of perks available to everyone that works at the company. Graduates are entitled to all the same perks that every other employee of the company gets. The perk that I have recently taken advantage of is the Fitness Passport. This enables my partner and I to go to a plethora of different gyms for cheap.
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024

Intern, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024
Company has rental car service and health insurance, neither of which I have used. Are these considered unusual?
Graduate, Melbourne - 15 Aug 2024

Graduate, Adelaide - 06 Aug 2024
Probably the 9 day fortnight and flexible working hours.
Graduate, Melbourne - 05 Aug 2024
Honestly, nothing. generally if we are doing an 'activity', we are expected to pay

Lots of opportunities to travel (project dependant). Year long secondments to different offices.
