About the Institutional Program / Ngā taipitopito kōrero

ANZ’s Institutional business is a market leader across New Zealand, working with some of the Aotearoa’s largest companies to support their funding and growth requirements. Institutional provide a range of specialised lending, account, and markets products to our domestic and international customers.

As an Institutional Intern, you are in for a phenomenal 8-week program. You’ll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in one of our core business segments where we’ll introduce you to the foundation principles of what it means to be an Institutional banker. Teams you may have experience with include:

  • Relationship Banking, Sustainable Finance, Transaction Banking, Operations, Data & Insights and Global Markets.

If those teams don’t mean too much to you now, don’t worry, all will become clear when you join us!

Our Intern Program is available in Auckland and will run from 25th November 2024 to 7th February 2025 with a 3-week break over Christmas and New Year.

Being part of ANZ means working in a diverse and inclusive workplace where the different backgrounds, perspectives and life experiences of our people are celebrated, creating a great place to belong. We encourage you to talk to us about any adjustments you may require to our recruitment process or the role itself. I feel extremely lucky to be working with such hardworking people who genuinely want to see me succeed.  ANZ has a great praise culture – we really value calling out those who are doing a fantastic job (and who doesn’t like being appreciated for the work that you do?!)

I love that working in Marketing can also mean collaborating with other agencies where you are exposed to new creative and insightful practices. Plus, the occasional working long lunch is always nice.
