Geotechnical Engineering Vacation Programme (Nov 2024)

We are interested in talented and ambitious second-year students. 

AGAA offers a 8 to 12-week summer vacation programme for paid on-the-job work experience during your university vacation break (November to February). 

This Geotechnical Role will be based in our Perth CBD office, Monday – Friday, with flexible and hybrid working options available. The purpose of the role is for students to gain exposure early in their degree to geotechnical engineering. The role will focus on data collection and creation to support the on-site team. As a student in this area, you will first have access to future vacation opportunities at our Australian operations, Sunrise Dam Gold Mine or Tropicana Gold Mine. 

Essential requirements:

• You currently reside in Western Australia
• You are in your second year (minimum 2 years remaining) of study in the relevant discipline – Studying towards a degree in Civil Engineering, Mining Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or Geology (Structural Focus)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Australian working rights
• A manual license is not mandatory but is highly regarded
