All Alcoa’s graduate positions are permanent and commence with a three-year rotational program, designed to provide you a broad foundation in finance as well as allowing you to tailor your career path towards your interests and individual goals. 

Throughout the program, you will be provided with coaching, mentoring, hands-on and professional training to accelerate your development and maximise your full potential. The best part is that you’ll get to experience working locally both in corporate and on-site environments at either of our corporate offices or one of mines or refineries, enjoying a lifestyle where you can be home each and every night!

You will be exposed to numerous networking opportunities and be provided with an increasing level of responsibility where you will use your innovative thinking, motivation to learn and passion for growth to make an impact for our business. You will join an open-minded workplace where your ideas will be valued whilst developing professionally in a supportive environment that will encourage you to think outside the box.

As a Finance Graduate at Alcoa, you will rotate across our WA locations based in the Kwinana, Peel and Upper Southwest regions as well as our corporate office in Booragoon, to learn and develop your experience and expertise in:

• Corporate Finance – including financial accounting, statutory requirements and financial planning & analysis
• Financial Shared Services – critical month-end costing processes for raw materials & inventory, asset inventory and other key controllership requirements
• Internal Audit – key controllership and involvement in internal audits of operations
• Location accounting – including business partnering and management accounting
• Tax & Treasury support

This is an all-encompassing Finance Graduate role where you will have exposure to all disciplines within the Finance function.

About you

To be successful in this role and to play a part in our ongoing success you will be:

• On path to graduate by the end of 2022 or have recently completed tertiary qualifications preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related discipline 
• A self-starter with the ability to work autonomously. 
• Using your initiative and taking ownership of your work. 
• A strong communicator with well-developed people skills. 
• Analytically and open-minded with a creative and collaborative approach to problem-solving. 
• Driving positive outcomes with your ability to engage with and understand your customers.
