Application tips and preparation

Applying for a Graduate role is very competitive, so to help interested applicants make the most of their application we’ve put together some tips.

  • Research Allianz and decide whether our purpose, strategy and company culture align with your values.
  • Limit your resume to 2-3 pages maximum. Be sure to start from your most recent experience and include your education, extracurricular activities and contact details. PDF all documents so that the formatting is protected. Don’t forget to update your LinkedIn as well.
  • Take the time to personalise your cover letter to Allianz and the role you are applying for.
  • Read the application criteria carefully and don’t forget to attach all the documents that are required such as your academic transcript and cover letter.
  • It’s ok to be nervous, but don’t be unprepared. Practise and preparation are the key to interviews. Research potential behavioural questions that you might be asked and think of specific examples that relate to each competency. Practice aloud or in front of a camera – it will make all the difference!
  • Ask questions during the interview – this is a two-way street and you need to determine if you can see yourself working for Allianz as much as we can see you fitting into our team.
  • Be authentic, be yourself and show your personality. We want to get to know the real you!
